ROMEO & JULIET - Set in the Roaring 20's
Columbia Performing Arts & Spotlight Theatre presents… Romeo and Juliet, a tragic love story by William Shakespeare. This adapted version of the story is set in the 1920's in a very Chicago Illinois looking Verona, where two young people from rival Mob families, the Montagues, and the Capulets, fall in love at first sight. Their families' rivalry prevents them from being together, and they resort to secret plans and desperate actions to escape their fate. However, their plans go terribly wrong, ending tragically for our star-crossed lovers.
